 dé Budhlall is a Trinbagonian anti-disciplinary artist exploring disobedi
 ent possibilities of the ‘classical’ dancing body. Working primarily t
 hrough Odissi\, she interrogates the politics of classicism and reworlds t
 echnique through Caribbean diasporic embodiment. Her practice spans perfor
 mance\, participatory installation\, facilitation\, moving image and guest
  lecturing\, engaging questions of race\, heritage\, nationalism and post-
 colonial Caribbean life.\n\nSádé holds an MA in Dance: Participation\, C
 ommunities and Activism from London Contemporary Dance School and is co-au
 thor of a forthcoming Routledge chapter on unlearning tradition through da
 nce. Her work has been presented in Trinidad and Tobago and internationall
 y\, including screenings of her debut screendance\, DOUGLA.\n\nFree and op
 en to the UCR community!
