Hi Highlanders! 👋 Join us for Consent is a Two-Way Treat, CARE’s open house on October 14th from 11 am to 1 pm! We have free swag, popsicles, and more, so come and learn more about Care’s mission and consent culture! ✨ A friendly reminder that consent is much more than just asking between two (or more!) people. Consent is something that is freely given. Equitable. Revokable. Communicative. Informed. And Mutual. Consent is NOT❌: continuing to push or insist after someone says no, based on flirting, how someone dresses or whether or not they go home with someone, feeling forced or afraid to say no or pursuing sexual activity with someone who is incapacitated by drugs or alcohol, or in a state where they are not able to understand The Who, What, Where, When, or Why of a situation. Everyone deserves to have fun, meet new people, explore their sexuality, AND feel safe knowing that their boundaries are respected. Be on the lookout for our introduction of CARE’s staff and our event, Boo’s and Boundaries!
