About

This unique and provocative course gives students the opportunity to examine gender and disability from feminist and critical perspectives. We will explore the intersections of disability, gender, sexualities, race, and class. We will confront, analyze, and challenge the limits of how we currently understand the diversity of human bodies and minds and the social formations that interpret bodily differences. This is UCR's only lower-division, prereq-free course on disability. Access for all! This course is relevant for all majors and career trajectories, including "helping" professions like medicine, counseling, social work, education/teaching, and community organizing.
