DESCRIPTION:"APPROVAL REQUIRED" This is intermediate and advanced training 
 in Kodokan Judo. Students must have prior instructor approval before being
  accepted into this class. Judo Gis are required. This class focuses on Ta
 chi Waza (standing techniques) and Ne Waza (ground techniques). Kata will 
 also be taught and practiced on a selection basis. Competition is recommen
 ded but not required as it is a crucial method for testing and improving j
 udo skills. All advanced students are asked to become members of USA Judo 
 to help support the Riverside Dojo's certification. USA Judo membership is
  not mandatory if students choose not to compete. Rank advancement is much
  slower in the advanced class and shall be on an invitation basis based on
  the student's performance and attendance\, as well as accumulation of req
