Barber Professor of Physics and Astronomy Johns Hopkins University 2011 Nobel Laureate in Physics Featuring introductory remarks by UCR Provost Elizabeth Watkins and CNAS Dean Peter Atkinson. On behalf of the UCR Department of Physics & Astronomy and its new Center for Experimental Cosmology & Instrumentation (CECI), we would like to invite you to our next special event on the frontiers of cosmology. We will be hosting a reception on Thursday, June 4 at 5:00 pm to be followed by a public lecture by Dr. Adam Riess, the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor and Barber Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University and 2011 Nobel Laureate in Physics. The event is titled the "Frontiers of Cosmology Lecture: The Surprising Expansion History of the Universe." We would be honored if you are able to join us. The reception and lecture will be held on the UCR campus in the University Theatre.
